This surreal noir mystery is the debut novel of Penn Jillette, the talking partner of the magician duo Penn & Teller. What makes this book unique is that it is narrated by Dickie, a sock monkey belonging to a diver for the NYPD, whom Dickie refers to as Little Fool. After Little Fool pulls the bludgeoned corpse of Nell--a stripper who was his girlfriend in law school--out of the Hudson River, he teams up with Nell`s friend Tommy, a gay hairdresser, to find the killer.
